Why CLAT?

You are here:

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an All-India Entrance Exam that takes place annually in different parts of the country. It allows students to apply for admission across 23 National Law Universities, commonly known as NLU, in different cities in India. CLAT is the exam for all aspiring lawyers looking to enter the world of law.

The rank you achieve in CLAT will play a key role in deciding which NLU you get into. Currently, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, is considered the best NLU in India.

Preparing for CLAT requires the complete focus and dedication of students. In total, there are five subjects you need to prepare for: English, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

If your aim is clear and you have decided to crack CLAT, you must start your preparations at the right time and under the right guidance. This will give you a head start and provide you with ample time to clearly understand the basic and core concepts of Indian law.

With determination, hard work, and the proper guidance, you can crack CLAT in one go.
